Paris Pitch Night for Lebanese entrepreneurs, April 29, 2024

Cedars Tech and LIFE are organising a pitch night in Paris on April 29, 2024, for Lebanese entrepreneurs based in Europe or based in Lebanon with a European presence. The purpose of this event is to connect entrepreneurs with potential investors and provide post-event support and guidance. We are aiming to select up to 7 startups to participate in this event.

Applications for startups are now open, if you would like to apply as a startup or attend as an attendee, please complete the form on the right.

Deadline for applications as a startup : April 1st, 2024.

Non-registered attendees will not be allowed to access the venue.


Eligibility criteria for start-ups:

  • Minimum one Lebanese founder
  • Start-up based in Continental Europe or elsewhere with a European office or clients
  • Product ready with at least 6 months of market traction with revenue
  • Looking to raise between €250k and €2million
  • Tech startup or tech-enabled
  • Preferable but not a must: Job creation in Lebanon or other forms of impact

  • Executive summary (Elevator pitch)
  • Presentation of founder(s) profile and key management members
  • Product overview and value proposition
  • Timeline and traction to date
  • Business model: revenue streams, pricing model
  • Go-to-market strategy, growth strategy and sales/distribution model
  • Operating model: capabilities, assets, infrastructure (IT/technology)
  • Market opportunity: market size and historical evolution, growth drivers, and market growth forecast
  • Competition: an overview of the competitive landscape, your positioning, and key differentiators
  • Performance and financial KPIs: revenue, gross/net margins, number of users/customers acquired to date
  • Business plan: Growth plan and expansion strategy, revenue forecast, P&L forecast

VivaTech 2023

For the third year in a row,  Cedars Tech is granting 10 Lebanese startups exposure to up to 140K visitors, 30K startups, 3,300 investors, and 1,300 journalists in the Lebanese Pavillion at VivaTech 2023, taking place on June 14 to 17, 2023.

VivaTech organizes Europe’s biggest technology and startup event each year, over four exciting days in Paris. They unite the most disruptive topics in tech, rule-breaking entrepreneurs, and the world’s largest technology breakthroughs, building an ecosystem where business gets done. VivaTech is a global community including thousands of visionary startups, investors, organizations, corporations, researchers, media, and talent.

Why Be Part Of VivaTech 2023?

Startups, tech leaders, investors, and major corporations in Lebanon responding to the world’s biggest challenges can be one of the 10 startups to receive a digital and physical booth under the Cedars Tech Lebanese Pavillion in Paris during the 4-day exhibition.

This initiative offers them a unique opportunity to promote their products, solutions, or services, at their own booth. They will be provided with a powerful platform to publish their company’s videos, documents and photos; and a networking module to make demos and connect with top prospects and investors participating from all over the world.

Who Can Apply?

  • The company should be a legal entity with less than $10M in revenue in 2023.
  • The company should be working in the Tech sector and offering some digital services or products. Innovative startups and digital services providers are eligible.
  • The headquarters should be based in Lebanon while having the R&D or product development with a proven track record of recruiting Lebanese professionals.
  • The company should be ready to export a service or product.
  • At least one founding member has Lebanese nationality or is a member of the Lebanese community.

The Cedars Tech jury will first review all applications that match the above eligibility rules and then evaluate them based on objective selection criteria.

Join us at the first ever Lebanese pavilion at VivaTech 2021

Cedars Tech is proud to announce the first ever virtual Lebanese pavilion to exhibit at VivaTech 2021, Europe’s biggest startup and tech event, hosting eight hand-picked Lebanese tech startups: BASMA.com, Digital Industrial Module (DIM), Fly-Foot, IoTree, Neumann, PHAMO, Taccato and VBOUT. It will be the first hybrid edition of the event that will be held between June 16 and June 19, 2021, at Paris Porte De Versailles and online.

Cedars Tech is a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian initiative co-founded by Association Franco-Libanaise des Professionnels de l’Informatique (AFPI), Berytech, Smart ESA, and the Franco-Lebanese Chambre of Commerce (CCFL), to create a strong connection with the Lebanese Diaspora and boost the growth of Lebanese startups and SMEs locally and internationally while creating jobs within Lebanon.
